Angelos Lazaris

Hi. My name is Angelos (or Aggelos) Lazaris. I received my 5-year Diploma and my MSc in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete, Greece, and my PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, USA. Currently, I work as a Data Science Manager at Meta in the area of real time communications. In this website, you can find information related to my academic research that lies in the intersection of machine learning and computer networks.

Traffic Modeling And Analysis

Network traffic modeling, memory access predictions, time series analysis, and applied data science techniques for modeling and understanding big datasets.

Machine Learning

Deep learning techniques for regression or classification and their applications to networking; Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) techniques for optimizing network management.

Anomaly Detection

Anomaly detection, outlier detection, and various supervised and unsupervised techniques for detecting anomalies in network traces.

Software-defined Networking (SDN)

Optimization algorithms for SDN management; network telemetry; fine-grained network traffic measurement; measurement orchestration.
